Have you ever left a meeting thinking:
If so, you're not alone.
As organizations become more diverse and international, teams increasingly bring together people with different communication styles, assumptions, and expectations. What seems obvious to one person may never occur to another. What one colleague sees as respectful behavior, another may interpret as disengagement.
The result?
Misunderstandings, frustration, slower decision-making, and missed opportunities.
But what if the problem isn't language?
What if the real challenge is that we're all playing by different rules without realizing it?
In this highly interactive workshop, you won't just learn about intercultural communication.
You'll experience it.
Through a collaborative simulation, participants will work together to solve a shared challenge while navigating hidden assumptions, incomplete information, and different communication norms.
Expect moments of confusion.
Expect moments of frustration.
And most importantly, expect an "Aha!" moment that changes how you think about collaboration in diverse teams.
Experiencing the challenge is only the beginning.
Using Management 3.0 practices, we will explore:
Together we will identify practical experiments that can immediately improve collaboration in multicultural teams and organizations.
✅ Why communication breakdowns happen even when everyone has good intentions
✅ How hidden assumptions influence team behavior
✅ Common challenges in Japanese and international collaboration
✅ How different motivations shape the way people communicate
✅ Practical Management 3.0 tools for building stronger collaboration
✅ Small experiments you can try immediately with your own team
This workshop is designed for:
No prior knowledge of Management 3.0 is required.
This is not a lecture.
This is not cultural theory.
This is a hands-on learning experience designed to help you see collaboration through a different lens.
You will leave with a deeper understanding of yourself, your colleagues, and the invisible rules that shape how teams communicate.
Because sometimes the biggest barriers to collaboration are the ones we don't even know exist.
